DWS a member of CQS will represent HSBC and all its customers

HSBC and the Law Society have formed an agreement which was implemented on 29thAugust 2012, whereby all members of the Conveyancing Quality Scheme will represent HSBC and its clients. Douglas Wemyss Solicitors is a member of the Conveyancing Quality Scheme and the conveyancing team welcomes this move and is looking forward to working with the Bank and its clients.

The Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS) has been set up by the Law Society so that those firms offering the best client service can be distinguished from other firms that do not reach the same standards. Membership of the CQS is dependent upon: the integrity of the firm’s staff which includes senior members, the firm’s adherence to good management practice and also adherence to prudent and efficient conveyancing procedures. Each year members are evaluated on these factors to ensure that they are meeting these high standards. Douglas Wemyss Solicitors has been a member now for two years which is recognition of our efforts to maintain these high standards. It also shows that our conveyancing team is amongst the best and is consistently providing a high standard of service to our clients.

The partnership between HSBC and the CQS will mean that HSBC will be working with the very best conveyancing solicitors. This will result in the Bank’s customers receiving better service due to using only CQS accredited firms. The Clydesdale and Yorkshire Bank have also adopted similar schemes and many other high street banks may soon be using just CQS members.
