<p align="center" style="text-align: left;"><a href="http://www.d-w-s.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/FUTURE-5-50-100-Logo-V1.1-e1367403508175.jpg"><img alt="FUTURE 5 50 100 Logo V1.1" class="alignright size-medium wp-image-1413" decoding="async" src="http://www.d-w-s.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/FUTURE-5-50-100-Logo-V1.1-300x89.jpg"/></a>Sameer Karim, Senior Partner and Owner of Douglas Wemyss Solicitors is announced as one of the Future 50 Young Social Entrepreneurs of the Year during a reception hosted by global company Ernst &amp; Young and organised by Striding Out CIC.</p> <p>The Future 50 Awards, part of the Future 100 programme, puts the spotlight on young entrepreneurs aged 20-35 who are demonstrating entrepreneurial flair and innovation in running a responsible business venture; one which demonstrates a balance between economic, environmental and social goals to achieve ultimate business success.</p> <p>The Future 50 are invited to join the Ernst &amp; Young Accelerate network giving them access to skilled businesses through a series of networking and learning events.</p> <p>Sameer Karim of Douglas Wemyss Solicitors states that he aims to:</p> <p>“Provide only the best for our clients.  I feel proud to hold a sense of social responsibility that aims to wholly consider people first.  The legal field has and always will be a competitive market, and there’s always someone who will be willing to undercut your quote for business. Sadly that’s how business works with some, but I guess the joys of owning your own firm means that you can put your own price for your service. What I’m saying is we sacrifice a lot of our time in giving free advice at the Legal Shop, online via articles on our website, through seminars, and when networking. I believe that sometimes making more money isn’t always the smartest decision – it contradicts client retention. You’ve got to show your clients that the relationship you have with them, isn’t purely financial, but because you genuinely care. And for that, sometimes you may need to sacrifice the percentage in your fees. This is a hard choice to accept by many, especially in today’s climate where people are just not willing to buy. But it’s a personal decision; do you make a good salary from one off clients, or sacrifice the percentage in your fees to retain their continuous transactions.
