Lasting Power of Attorney

<p style="text-align: left;">If you are faced with a situation where you lose capacity to make decisions for yourself and you do not have a Lasting Power of Attorney, it is not simply a case of others making decisions for you.  If decisions are required to be made on your behalf, someone would need to apply to the Court of Protection to be appointed Deputy for yourself. This process is extremely expensive and time consuming (upwards of £2,000 plus ongoing annual fees). <strong><em>You can take control of the situation by making a Lasting Power of Attorney.</em></strong></p> <p style="text-align: left;">With a Lasting Power of Attorney, you can appoint one or more persons to make decisions on your behalf.
